Tier 2 (General) - Refused due to mistake by HR

Post by jofo02ab » Fri Dec 11, 2009 8:45 pm

Hi All,

I am so dissappointed. HR recently sent in my application and I got refused because they made a typo and entered my salary in wrong. The position I am being sponsored for require 21.5k and they typed in 21k, although my salary is supposed to be 22k.

I wish to make an appeal under non-asylum reasons. However, I don't know how to explain this in a reasonable manner or if I can appeal at all because of this. I am currently on a Post Study Work visa and have eight business days before I need to send in my appeal. I would appreciate any help.

Refused: Sponsorship (30 points)
Accepted: Qualification (10 points)
Accepted: Prospective Earnings (10 points)
Accepted: English Language (10 points)
Accepted: Maintenance (Funds) (10 points)

Kind regards
J

A typo should be easy enough to correct and explain?

Yes Vinny's right, you should make an appeal stating your point and if possible use a letter from your employer stating the correct salary as an evidence, hope everything gets sorted for you, wish you all the best with it

As a favour since I'm waiting to hear from the Home Office on my application, could you please give an update on your timeline, as in what date did you send in your application and when did you hear back from them.. ?

It has been 4 weeks since I've posted my application and i still haven't heard anything from them..and I think I am due in for an apocalypse as my employer has already lost the patience with this and would pull my job offer in case I don't hear anything before Christmas..

All in all, I will lose an opportunity for which I'd worked tirelessly for months..
