Tier 2 - ICT (Employee paid abroad for a short period)

Post by sherkhan297 » Sun Dec 13, 2009 5:26 pm

Hi,

I was not aware of this change in rule and only just came across this.
As per this change to tier 2 in Aug/Sep 09 , an employee in tier 2 (ICT) can be paid abroad and not necessarily in the UK?

http://www.wragge.com/analysis_5020.asp

hence I assume that if there is no break in visa and the employee is on official work and paid abroad for a short period, this would not constitute a break in stay in the UK?

and what about an employee who had been paid for a short period before this change was made? does he/she benifit from this too..

Request your thoughts/interpretations of this law.
