Query on work permit dependent application..

Post by vincent » Sat Jan 29, 2011 11:16 pm

Hi,

i do need some quick advice..

I am on UKwork permit wit my employer since 3 yrs now... have anotehr 2 yrs left on it...
my wife jst got a job last year 2010...and came on Tier 2 work visa... but few weeks back she lost her job/ made redundant.. so that was a setback...

Now the thing is.. she has to leave the UK becoz of loosing the job... and now the plan is to come as dependent of mine...as I m on work permit.. and then she can hunt for another job..

So could anyone guide me..which form i should use for applying?
I m confused bcoz there is something calld settlement visa..and also some vaf10 form for point based system..

Another query is...how much should we wait to make the application for dependency from the time she leaves UK.. will it matter? bcoz the plan is to apply soon after she is in India..
what are the chances of getting dependent or settlement visa in such case?

I do hav my side clear in terms of funds n emplyment... any specific documents would i require for her to make the application frm India?

Any help would be much appreciated..
