can i work before receiving biometric card

hi
i received my tier 2 (general) approval 2 weeks ago. but not recieved biometric residence card yet. can i commence work.

i think i may need to show my employer passport and card to verify?

In my opinion, an approval letter is fine to confirm that your visa has been granted. However, if your Employer is very strict they might require to see the Biometric Residence Card.

I think you could start working without any issues with the approval letter in hand.
