Sorry, I'm unable to edit my original post so providing the info in a separate comment. I've just got all my documents back today so the result is as follows:londy wrote:1. Type of application: Tier 2 (General) Extension
2. If switching, category changing (switching) from : N/A
3. Date of expiry of current leave: 31/10/14
4. Number of dependants applying at same time: 0
5. Rating of sponsor: A
6. Location: London

13. Ack. & BM letter issue date: no letter
14. Acknowledgement letter received: not received
15a. Biometric letter received: not received
15b. Status request by post: 10/09/2014
15c. Phone call from UKVI: 12/09/2014
15d. Biometric letter received: 16/09/2014

15. Date of approval: waiting
17. Date of return of passport and other documents: waiting
18. Date (new) leave to remain valid from: waiting
19. Date BRP received: waiting
As you see, I didn't hear from them for almost a month. The CoS was still assigned, not used. My HR suggested that I should contact them directly and request the status, which I did on 10/09/14. They called me back and sent a biometric enrollment letter soon after that. So if you don't hear back from UKVI, don't panic - just contact them by post and ask about the status. Hope, this helps anyone waiting for a long time.
squalliram wrote:If its the BRP you guys are waiting for and if you guys have received your approval letter along with your passports, you probably would have to wait as I received an email from UKBA stating that there's been a huge demand for BRP's and there's been a delay. I am waiting for my wife's BRP as well till now.
"We have experienced a high demand for Biometric Residence Permits which has resulted in some delays in the production and delivery. The BRP will be delivered within the next 3-7 working days. Deliveries take place between 8am and 6pm. Please note that on delivery the courier will require proof of identity (such as passport, driving licence or bank card) and a signature to confirm receipt of the package. If the BRP has not been received within 10 working days, please re-contact us and we will investigate."
Hope this helps (somewhat).
Good luck!

Not the size , but rating of sponsor could matterTukadevi wrote:Hi Everyone, do you think the size of a sponsor: I mean smaller or Big, plays a role in deciding Tier 2 applications quickly? Your response would be highly appreciated?
Many thanks!

Hope you are doing well. As you know that, I recently applied for T2 switching from T4 a day later than yours on 13th and enrolled bio on 22nd August. My Sponsor is very good A rated UK stock exchange listed. Just have sponsored for very few out of many allocations till date.
But I have not received anything for full 6 weeks.
I am doubting, is that switching from T4 or 5 years cos taking time. What do you think? Share your experiences please.
Many thanks.

Hi, Please contact me here: scity74@yahoo.co.ukRaj86guy wrote:Hello,
Friends I am in a tough situation at the moment. I m in uk at student visa, I extended my visa in April 2013 but I used TOEIC at that time, now my studies on the basis of this visa is done and it's expiring on 10th of this October. In this time I got married and my husband is on PSW and his company has applied for tier 2 licence to sponsor him. His visa is expiring end of this month. Our plan is to apply for tier 2 and I will put my file as his dependent.
And now the problem is UKVI people are sending detention letters to TOEIC holders. And I am TOEIC holder as well. My visa is expiring already in couple of months but I am sure I'll get that letter very soon from UKVI.
Could anyone please advice what should I do now ?
Should I leave the country before I get the letter and then apply from India as a dependent ?
Or I I don't get the letter in that time and apply as a dependent I am worried it will create the problems as they know I was on TOEIC before ?
Please help I m really tensed

We are almost in the same boat. I think they are taking time to decide for those switching from T4. What's up now? Did you receive anything? Did you try to contact them? Please provide your SOC code? What about others applying from T4? It's so frustrating to wait. Let us know about the progress please.
Many thanks

Just to let you know, for those who are switching from Tier 4 category. My friend received his approval Documents today after 4.5months of waiting. It is a long wait isn't it? Hope we will get quicker than this. Many thanks.

Congrats for your friend . Much appreciated your efforts in this forum.I have received letter from UkBa which states that your case couldn't complete within 8 weeks due to some complex issues. We are working hard to give decision ASAP. Can you please ask your friend did He/she received such type of letter from them before approval? Thanks
