My employer has issued my COS today. My salary is 20k and meets the SOC salary requirement as well but in the COS the HR has put it as 1666.66 per month. This amount multiplied by 12 gives 19999.92.

Please advise if this will be an issue? This is a tier 4 to tier 2 switching.

Many Thanks in advance.
What SOC Code you are using ? Is there really any job for £20k with NQF Level 6?

Documents required for Tier 2 General

Post by JS28 » Fri Feb 01, 2013 9:46 pm

Hi,

My visa is expiring on the 16th of March 2013. I literally have 6 weeks to apply. I will hopefully send it off once we have received the UCOS. Worst scenario, what could be reason of refusal? and if I got refused, will I be able to apply again even though my visa has run out?

This is my background: I am a FUrther Education teacher (SOC code 2312). I am contracted for 32 and half hours on site and 5 hours off site. My salary is £22,900 annually. I am currently on a Fixed-term contract which finishes in July 2013.

Can anyone tell me if there's anything wrong with my situation that could lead to a refusal?

These are the documents i will be preparing. Can anyone please tell me if there is missing

1.) original Degree Certificate
2.) Passbook showing £900 for the last 90 days. Letter from Bank
3.) bank Statement showing salary paid.
4.) Letter from the HR confirming employment
5.) Photograph
6.) Passport
7.) special delivery envelope
8.)Application fee

Thank you

i really hope it take two weeks to get unrestricted COS. I am in the worst state at the moment. HR royally screwed up my first COS - assigned me a wrong COS code. got rejected and put in my appeal to keep my status. They have required extra allocation at the moment. I dont know how long its going to take. I really hope its two week! wish me luck! will update my timeline!

Hi All, just need your advice on this. My employer has requested for extra unrestricted certs. UKBA has approved the allocation. I thought i could straight away apply for it but i can't. They need to request the allocation specifically for me? apparently that might take months? Can anyone comment on this

Hi I have a question

I am on a tier 2 general visa expiring soon
My employer ran out of CoS , so has asked for more and I believe this takes time.
I want to extend my visa and from your posts it seems that I require an unrestricted CoS.

I dont think my employer asked for an unrestricted one, can they ask for one now in October ?( some posts suggest April 2016 was the cut off for 2016/17)
If yes, how do they ask for one if they have never asked or got an UCoS? apparently it does not show up on the SMS.

Can I use a restricted CoS (if and when I get one)?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
