Tier 2 Dependant Extension and court cliams

Post by krish_p » Sat May 05, 2018 7:12 pm

Hi ,

I am tier 2 dependant and my extension is due on September 2018.

At the same time I am a landlord and received a letter from former tenants regarding a deposit cliams.
If they go to court and win the cliam , will that effect my visa application in September 2018 as it is a civil matter?

Do I need to mention these details on application form when apply for extention

Not an immigration issue as such, especially if a civil matter, but you have breached the landlord/tenants laws by not protecting their deposit and it could cost you a substantial amount of money plus costs. Unlikely you will win this court case if you ignored the deposit protection scheme rules and laws.
