Tier 2 Dependent / PBS Dependent Health Surcharge

Post by RUZO » Tue Jul 30, 2019 11:51 am

My wife is in the same situation.
I have an ILR.
Wife's TIER 2 PBS dependant visa expiring :16/08/19
Wife due for ILR : January 2020.
Need to extend the visa for 6 months.
I need to know how can I keep the IHS to 400 GBP for a year rather than 1200 for 3 years.
Should I just say my visa expiring next year (although ILR lasting for 5 years) which will give my wife one year of IHS rather than 3 years.
Also can I ask immigration team to issue visa for a year rather than 2-3 years to save the IHS in the visa application form.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

My wife will be applying for Tier 2 extension.
I have an ILR.
Can I show maintenance funds of 630 GBP in my account for 90 days or does she need to have it in her account for 90 days.

Many thanks

You can't. The immigration rules clearly state that a PBS Dependent visa will be for 3 years if the main PBS migrant has ILR or is British. You cannot choose a lesser time to apply for.

You can't. It is a mandatory 3 year extension for PBS Dependents.

No.
