Voting in Elections while on Tier 2

Post by Arun211 » Sat Aug 24, 2019 12:14 pm

Hi All, just a quick check. I am an Indian national living in UK on Tier2 General Visa. Am I eligible to do electoral registration and then vote in UK?

Cheers

Not as an Indian national in the UK under Immigration control.

Thanks Casa. I did vote in local elections in last May. Will this have any effect on my ILR?

Also, I was about to use election poll cards as cohabitation docs as part of ILR. Will this have any negative effect?

Cheers
Arun

Also, in below url there is a mention about being able to vote if from a commonwealth country. This is a old link but wonder if it is still valid?
