Tier 2 visa extension

Hi. I’m currently on tier 2 which expires in August. I have been issued CoS by my next employer as I’m starting a new job from August.

1) does one year free visa extension apply to NHS workers who are switching employers too? Any official word on this from home Office?

2) Any visa centers currently open? If not, any idea When would they open?

1. No official word but your visa is tied to a specific employer, so logic means it would be wan existing tier 2 sponsor not a new sponsor which you are required to apply for a new tier 2 visa with a UCoS.

2. All ukcvas centres are closed. No idea when they will open. Members are reporting 4 and 5 reschedule of appointments currently to the end of June.

Home office has said people can continue with the next employer even if visa isn’t approved but as long as they have applied new visa.
Can we travel to home country too then after applying visa only and before its approval?

You should not travel out of the UK as it could your application to be withdrawn.
