Visa type considered for ILR

Post by Nazir010119 » Wed Jul 29, 2020 7:33 pm

Hi,

i want to know if the total years together of 3years dependant (of General tier2 visa) plus 2 years General tier2 visa, considered for ILR?

i was on General Tier 2 visa from - September 2017 to Jan 2020, and then i moved to a dependant visa (my wife has a general tier 2 visa valid till Jan 2024), so when can i apply for ILR?

No. You cannot combine a PBS dependent visa time with main tier 3 time to make up 5 years for ilr. You need 5 years on tier 2 dependent visabefore you can apply for ilr.

5 years from the date you were granted a dependent visa, so Jan 2025. Your time in your own tier 2 general is irrelevant to ilr based on 5 years residence.

How about Tier 4 visa combine with Tier 2 visa?
Does the year in Tier 4 count?

No. Tier 4 does not count or lead to ILR based on 5 years residence.

Not for ILR based on 5 years residence.

You should have stayed on your own tier 2 general, as you would have had 2 years to go. By switching to dependent visa, your 5 year ILR clock reset to zero.

Can you please STOP tagging onto other members topics which are NOT relevant to your circumstances!!! You have been asked not to do this already and to keep your questions in your own topic.

If you have specific questions about your own circusmtances, post them in your OWN topic. You have NOT asked a question here about the poster and their circumstances. You have merely added a question about your own situation which has nothing to do with the original question. It is very rude to tag onto and hijack another members topic when your query has nothing to do with the persons question who started the thread. It is unfair and creates confusion when members respond.

If you have not read the forum rules, which I assume you haven't because you repeatedly ignore all warnings and requests from moderators, then I suggest you take the time and read them, link to the top 25 FAQs below, see specifically point 12 about tagging onto other members topics!!!
