After Biometric Time for stamping

Post by vat1947 » Tue Mar 16, 2010 5:22 pm

I came to UK in June 2007 in WP visa. I am switching my employer in Tier 2 General and applied for visa on 12/02/2010. Afterwards on 15/03/2010(Monday) I had done my bio-metric finger printing in Middleton Post office in Manchester.

Since I am planning to visit India on 31st march and the timelines looks very critical, bit tensed .Can anyone help me for the following queries:

1) Since my bio-metric has been done. is it mean that my VISA stamping will be successful?

2)How long will it take get stamping after Bio-metric normally. Is my above travel date (Only 2 weeks I have) is possible?

I am very much thankful if any senior member can help me at this juncture.

I have been waiting for 3 weeks since I provided biometrics and no sign of my passport yet. U might be tight in this situation hence ask for ur passport back or postpone ur travel. ring them tomorrow.

hi,

I gave my biometrics on 5th march by going to Crydon Home office... still waiting for visa ... although their guidlines says .. if u don't receive ICFN card within 10 days after biometrics then call us ... so i might wait for 2 more days and will call ...

I am also waiting for a Tier 2 application to be returned after the Biometrics were taken on Friday 19th Feb 2010.

Even taking into consideration the 2 day strike, this new system is usless! It takes longer to get a visa inside the UK than it does from any consulate around the world!

Vanadil - that's always been the case (unless you go in person and pay the permium, and even then you wait weeks for an appointment).

We did some recently and they took about 2-3 weeks after biometrics.

It hasn't always been the case. Used to come back in 3 - 4 weeks in total, not 2 months. From submitting the intial app, getting biometrics and then having the visa returned it is now taking longer than it ever has.

The same day appointments that you mentioned used to be booked the monday a week before they were due to happen meaning a processing time of 1 week.

I hate the Home Office

:(

Is there any way to get the status of the application ? since i applied in the month of jan. I received the letter for biometrics only after 1 month.

just had a call from DX delievery services, Home office chose to deliver ICFN cards ...

they can only deliver at home and no office address .. other only option to collect from london which is miles away for me ...

don't understand if they send passport and all original documents via royal mail then y not ICFN cards with royal mail ....

why this freaking home office makes things complicated always....
