Given Names and Family Name on Application

Post by ChristopherGoble » Wed Jan 16, 2019 6:30 pm

Hi there,

I made the very silly mistake of putting my names around the wrong way for visa application for Tier 5 (Youth Mobility Scheme) - the names are spelt correctly, but rather than showing as Cxxxxxx Dxxx Gxxxxxx (correct) - they show as Gxxxx Cxxxxxx Dxxxxx. I also made the same error with my parents names.

I have written a cover letter to address this - whilst my passport and supporting documentation shows my name in the correct manner. Do you think a cover letter will suffice? Or would this mistake be likely to result in a decline?

Also - I have heard that crossing out the names on the application form and correcting them is another solution.

Very grateful for any advice!

Cheers,
Chris
