My wife intends to do her MBA in Finance ( a post graduate course) and I was wondering if I can be on her dependent and work in the UK during the length of her course?

If it's from a recognised college and longer than 6 months, yes, subject to the financial tests on maintenance etc...

Your family members will be able to work if you are either:

agovernment-sponsored student taking a course that is over six months long, or takinga postgraduate coursethat is at least 12 months longand you arestudying at an institution that meets the UK Border Agency's definition of a higher education institution.

The UK Border Agency defines a higher education institution as a Recognised Body or as an organisation that receives public fundingfor specific fundingbodies. You should check with your college or university if it meets this definition, or the UK Border Agency's definition of an "overseas higher education institution" if you areon a study abroad programm
