Visa Query URGENT!

I have a valid multiple entry student visa till the 22nd of January 2015. I have an appointment with my supervisor in London on the 1st of December. I wrongly assumed that my student visa would not be valid and i would have to apply again. My application was rejected on the ground of insufficient documents. However, can i enter the UK on the same student visa? There is no stamp or any proof of cancellation of any visa on my passport. Please help! Also, if there is any number i could call on to ask for further help, do let me know.
