Ademaic progression

Hi All,
I didn't complete my last MSc Course and want to study other master course, however, the university still issue my CAS with academic progression because my first master is close to my current research master application. I wonder should I ask the Uni to change my CAS or I can still apply in the UK. Would the ECO check the application if I insist to apply in the UK
