Tier 4 Visa Process from UK -

Post by ggeetha86 » Mon Aug 24, 2020 8:39 am

Hello, I got an opportunity to do a MSc course at the university starting this Sep 2020. I am a Tier 2 ICT dependent (valid Dec 15 2020) and I have been advised by the university that I need to go to Home country before Dec 15 2020 to switch to a Tier 4 Visa . But still I can start my studies with the Tier 2 ICT dependent visa and continue till Dec 15 2020.

Kindly can you advise on my questions
1) what happens if the Visa gets rejected when i apply by Dec 2020 . Can i legally make a strong case as I would have started the course by Sep 2020.
2) In case anything goes wrong with my visa process, will the university refund the money back as i would have paid most of the fees by that time.

Please can you advise us on the above.

Why do you think the visa might be refused? What specific part of the eligibility is causing concern?

That depends on the university's refund policy, but moreover if you have questions or doubts about your visa application ask for advice from the international student adviser at the university.

Thanks for the reply.

G : The documents are clear from my side and i could not think of anything that can go wrong . But i want to be cautious as huge money is going for my fees payment.

If you have any concerns about your eligibility for the visa, or any specific aspect of your application, again the international student adviser at the university can advise. The university is as much invested in a good outcome as you are.

If however you are thinking that the visa might be refused for random, political, secret or other reasons that you could not possible know about in advance, that is not so. It is a box-ticking exercise with no discretion, unless you have an adverse immigration history.
