Financial proof - sibling

Post by abdullah2013 » Sat Dec 28, 2024 12:13 pm

Hello,

Can someone from Pakistan or similar situation help me with my query please.

Can I show funds with my brother in Pakistan for his student visa application? I have a joint GBP account with him.

I am the sole breadwinner after our father died and mother is over 75 years old, so unable to open and manage an account.

I don't necessarily want to convert GBP to PKR and tranfer it to his account, as it's hard to get them converted into GBP in Pakistan.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Yes. See https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... ix-finance

FIN 5.1. Accounts relied on must be in the name of the applicant (either alone or as a joint account holder)

See also https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... r-guidance > page 46: Individual or joint accounts

If your brother wants advice on their application, they can contact the international student adviser at their univrsity.
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.
