HELP!!! about 28-days rule (fund)

Post by binimichaela » Mon Aug 02, 2010 10:37 pm

I need your advise urgently. Many thanks in advance.

I'm accepted to a postgraduate program in the University of Manchester for this fall semester. I'm currently working here in Los Angeles and have enough for the required amount £5,400 in my 401k (retirement plan). The fund is on process of withdrawal at this moment and expected to be in my bank account in about 2 weeks. It's due to my work termination schedule being the end of this month. Also my fault not checking what kinds of "bank statement" they accept to review. I thought they would also consider 401k plan as a part of funding source as long as it's under my name. If I send my 401k statement as the continuation of the money in my bank account, would they take it as sufficient fund? If denied, I know they only do administration review with existing documents, do I have to re-apply? Biggest concern is to meet the school schedule. The following is dates I have.
  • Applied for Tier4 visa online on July 31st. (August 1st in Britain time)
Biometric appointment scheduled for August 12th.
    Flight scheduled on September 13th.
    School orientation on September 16th.
    School starts on September 20th.
Again, thanks a lot for all of you helping with your advises.

Retirement plan as evidence of funds is not in visa guideline.I am really afraid they would accept is.
These funds are not in account yet.

I doubt that these would be accepted.
If you are refused then you have to reapply and I would suggest when you have these fund in your accounts then?

You can write a letter to ECO and explain yours situation.
