http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/polic ... roduction/

"employment" unless the contrary intention appears, includes paid and unpaid employment, paid and unpaid work placements undertaken as part of a course or period of study, self employment and engaging in business or any professional activity.

Thanks Greenie

This means one can not even work as a volunteer, working as a college student whether u r paid or unpaid is not allowed.

Please confirm my understanding

There Is a difference between unpaid work and volunteering. What exactly do you wish to do?
