Working Part time and P45

Post by alex132 » Thu Feb 01, 2018 4:32 pm

Hi,
I am holding Tier 4 student visa, I worked part time as waitress in a restaurant.

If I left the part time job and join other part time job. Do we need to request P45? My previous restaurant said they did not have P45 form.

My friend told me that could be they keep using you as worker to reduce their profit as they can pay less tax.

How can I check about this in HMRC website as I have my National Insurance number (NI)?
I do not want my previous employee keep inform HMRC that I work with them, as student only can work max 20 hours per week,

If you are on PAYE and paid through payroll, if you resign, your employer is required to provide you with a P45.

Do you work more than 20 hours per week??

If you worked more than 20 hours per week in term time you were in breach of your visa conditions.
