child born abroad before one parent is naturalized

Post by baldude » Sat Mar 08, 2014 11:38 am

Dear All,

this has been a great forum while i am on wp,hsmp, tier-1 and naturalization process and always received good advice on adn could not really appreciate every one....

I have a 3.5 year old kid who i want to naturalize as british. the problem is they are born abroad. At the time of their birth I was on tier-1, once the kid is back in the UK they got ILR along with me. I then went on to become british citizen in 2012.....but my partner chose to remain on ILR and kid is on ILR....
i am thinking now of getting him british passport. but i could not find any information (or being inadvertantly ignorant) on MN1 form to fulfill my case. can anyone suggest me if my kid can get registered as british? if so what section of MN1 form does kid need to be projected....
any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Bal.
