Presence in UK 3 years ago

Post by harry7476 » Wed Jun 04, 2014 2:16 am

Hi All,

Q1
My wife is applying for her BC as spouse and I wanted to see if the following would count as absence from UK 3 years ago.

She traveled to Norway on the 11th of Jun 2011 and returned on 12th Jun 2012. In effect on both days she was in UK once while travelling.

Will this be considered as 'technically being in UK in case she applies on the 11th/12th of Jun 2014'?

Q2
Regarding documents she is submitting:
Marriage certificate (India issued - in english)
Life in the UK and B1 Grade 5 from Trinity
My Naturalisation Certificate
2 Passports covering last 3 years (One of them incidentally has her maiden name)
ILR
Photographs

Is there anything else needed in terms of documents

Q3
Should the marriage certificate be laminated or unlaminated?

Is there anything else needed in terms of documents - docs are fine, perhaps your passport. Is she applyi9ng using NCS?

Q3
Should the marriage certificate be laminated or unlaminated? Important documents should NEVER be laminated, so no not laminated as there is no way to 'authenticate' a document. I hope you have not laminated your naturasisation certificate

Q2 WIll share the passport with NCS Your docs will be photocopied and originals returned to you, that is why NCS is better.
Q3 The marriage certificate is laminated (not naturalisation). Will remove it. What do you mean remove it?? From the lamination or from the application? If she is applying as spouse of BC, she has to submit the marriage certificate (unlaminated).

Thanks
