can CoE ROA holder apply for British passport?

Hi We both parents are on ILR in UK and we had a baby after we got ILR. We are plannning to take Indian passport for our baby and then certificate of entitlement to the right of abode on baby's Indian Passport?
Can certificate of entitlement to the right of abode holder on Indian passoprt apply for British Passport directly and surrender Indian passport in case we want to take british citizenship for everyone in future?
