Had ILR before turning 18 but now 19 - British Citizenship

Post by carloseanopry » Wed Apr 01, 2015 12:40 am

I have a few enquiries regarding if I am qualified to apply for a British Citizenship.
I have read in the requirements that one has to be living in the UK for 5 years because that is only when one can apply for an Indefinite Leave to Remain then wait another year afterwards to apply for a British Citizenship.

My case is this:

So far, I have been living in the UK for about 3 years only but I have obtained my Indefinite Leave to Remain last year, March 2014, through my mother who has lived here in the UK for 6 years already. Now, I have turned 19 years old last 2nd of March 2015. However, I have already fulfilled the requirement of waiting a year after having obtained my ILR. I have also passed my Life In The UK test and for my English requirement, I have completed my studies of English IGCSE (A*) and English A-levels (B). Now, my mother and I are planning to apply for a British Citizenship.

Can I be considered to apply for a British citizenship? Or do I have to wait more years despite having obtained my ILR and waiting for a year?
Will my mother be able to include me in our application for a British Citizenship? Would I be considered as an Adult Dependant Relative? Would I have to complete a specific form for my case?
Because we were hoping that we could apply now before I go to university.

Thank you.
