Prove residence/utility bills

Post by sdcard » Mon Apr 13, 2015 12:20 am

Hi,

I have been in the country for 10 years on an ILR.

For the past 5 years I have been lodging with a family hence have no utility bill to my name (uni accommodation and flat prior to that - but that was all the first 5 years which won't count now) - no formal paperwork either. I do have bank statements addressed to where I am.

Do I need to prove some sort of residence/whereabouts for the past 5 years? Is there an interview after going through NCS?

Any response is much appreciated, thanks :)

the short answer to all your questions is NO.

no you dont ave to prove
and no there is no interview, altough they threatened to start interviewing at one point this year

Its not a threat but an optional requirement prior to naturalisation decision, if case worker feels they need to check in person about some of the information. Click here please as well, to read about an interview experience.
Being British is a state of mind.
