Can anyone give me advice. My daughter's father has been asked to fill in a mni form and it costs 750 pounds so before paying that, I would like to know the chances of her application being successful.
My daughter is 16 (born in 1999) and her passport application was rejected on the grounds of her parents not being married at the time of her birth. (she is not his "legitimate" child according to the UK law)
Her father is a British citizen (born in the UK - as well as both HIS parents)
I am South African.
He is her father in every sense of the word, except that we are not married to each other.
On what grounds can they refuse?
If she is under 18 and the application is successful, will she have to travel to the UK for a ceremony?
If the application is successful, do we have to re apply for a passport?
(very expensive exercise to say the least)
Thank you so much, I would really appreciate a reply.
Kind regards
