Online overseas passport application

Hi all! I hope this hasn't been asked before.

I've recently obtained my certificate of registration and I was trying to apply online for my first british passport (I live in Italy), but I have a few doubts.

In the "previous passport section" it states: "If the applicant has held or been included on a British passport before you must state this here. Provide the passport number below. You must send it with the application."

I was included on my late fater passport which expired in 2010, and was consequently canceled (corner cut and "cancelled" stamped on each page). I don't understand whether I have to send such passport or not. I can't write the number in the box below, because I think I should check the "none" option for the question "how many uncancelled passports are you sending us" because I will have to send a colour photocopy of my Italian passport, and this precludes me to write any number in the boxes.

My other doubt regards the "parent's details" section. Since I've obtaion citizenship via registration I guess such details aren't necessary, but I can't proceed without inserting at least my mother's details (my parents weren't married that's why I had to go through the registration process. Should I just fill the required fields or should I also add my father's details and the non-compulsory fields such as mother's passport number? I mean I've already submitted then when I applied for registration.....
