Hello,
I am new to this forum and sorry if this question has been asked for several times.
I submitted Naturalisation application online on 7th June and then attended UKVCAS appointment on 21 June to get fingerprints and photo taken. However, I will need to be out of country for 5 days for a business and am not sure if I can use ILR plus passport for this trip. I have been given a card with a number to call as the agency at UKVCAS appointment wasnt sure.
I did call them and explained I have IRL and just submitted all documents on 21 June and would like to leave the country for several days. They said, you cant leave the country whilst your application is being considered . I said i got ILR, they said it is the same as other visa types... They also asked me to call home office if I dont believe them.....
I then got confused because I can see lots of answers on this forum explaining that it is allowed to leave the country for a short period whilst the naturalisation application is being considered.
my question is can I leave the country with ILR plus passport for a short period??
Thank you,
Yang
