Naturalisation application

Post by Jkaur » Wed Aug 07, 2019 3:37 pm

Hello

Can someone assist me when my application for naturalisation:

I received my ILR letter from HO on 6/8/2009 under special circumstances (laps of 16 years of lawful residency). I am going to make the application under 10 year rules, tomorrow for naturalisation. I assume i have passed my 10 year required on 06/08/2019. Is this correct?

Documents requested are:
a) Passport issued by Indian government - Do I need to send them the scan copy of my passport for consideration initially and then the original if required?

My original passport showing first entry in UK which has expired and new passport was issued by Indian embassy in London - Do I need to scan the both passports for HO?

b) My ILR stamp is in the new passport but shows from 2014 but letter from HO was issued in 2009? I have scanned the letter from HO dated 2009 as proof of freedom!!!

c) Proof of living - Is the letter from HMRC confirming my employment and tax paid for the last five years would suffice this requirement.

I do have passport showing travelling during the last 5 years as well.

d) References: Do I need to submit the scanned copy of the the references (the forms with their signatures and my picture) or just the details on online application would suffice

e) Do I need to have new photos taken for the references?

Guidance would be highly appreciated.

Thank you
Regards J

NO original document will be taken or needs to be sent. All is done online and only scans are required.
You simply need the passports you used within the last 5 years.
b) My ILR stamp is in the new passport but shows from 2014 but letter from HO was issued in 2009? I have scanned the letter from HO dated 2009 as proof of freedom!!!
Scan of ILR should be enough
c) Proof of living - Is the letter from HMRC confirming my employment and tax paid for the last five years would suffice this requirement.
I do have passport showing travelling during the last 5 years as well.
There is no need to send proof of employment. Scan of your passport pages is enough
d) References: Do I need to submit the scanned copy of the the references (the forms with their signatures and my picture) or just the details on online application would suffice
e) Do I need to have new photos taken for the references?
You should get recent photos and attach them to referee forms. The referees must sign them and all will be scanned

One more question.

Do any of the documents need to be certified?

Thanks
