Letter from Home Office

Post by Tidjane2009 » Mon Sep 16, 2019 11:53 am

Hi there,

I have received the letter below from the HO this morning. Has anyone else received this letter. I have applied on the 13th of April.

Dear XXX,

We aim to process all applications within 6 months from the date submitted. However, in certain circumstances this target is not possible. Following our assessment of your case, unfortunately it appears your application will not be processed within the 6 month target.

We expect to make a decision on your application as soon as possible, but we will write to you again if this is not going to be possible.

I applied in November last year and got a refusal because my 1 year period was not over yet.

This is a generic letter HO sends to many when they need more time to process your application. No one knows what might have caused the delay but its a common letter. Sometimes, applicants have received decisions very soon after this letter also so it really does not mean that you will have to wait very long. All you have to do is be patient, positive and wait.
Personal opinion only, not to be mistaken for legal advice. Please DO NOT PM me for immigration advice. Love for All, Hatred for None.
