Hello,
My question is regarding the English language knowledge proof.
I was granted Indefinite Leave to Remain (Tier 1 -general- route) in July 2015. I didn't need to prove my English language knowledge because this was already established in the first Tier 1 visa application I made in July 2010 by providing the IELTS exam certificate I made specifically to meet the Tier 1 requirements. I scored 6.5 in my IELTS exam, which is higher than the B1 CEFR level equivalent.
Reading this paragraph from page 18 in the "Naturalisation Booklet – The Requirements":
"If you met the requirement to have sufficient knowledge of language and life in the UK when you applied for settlement by having a B1 level test you do not have to demonstrate it again. (People who applied for settlement on or after 28 October 2013 needed to have had a B1 level qualification.) "
As I have proved my English knowledge for the settlement, do I need to prove it again in my citizenship application ?
Thanks
