First Entry in UK

Hi

I am filling British Citizenship form. I am not sure what information should I put on this. I came UK first time 2005 at student, since then I have been in/out of country with visa expiring on few occasion. Since 2012 i am continuous resident as Tier-2 worker, ILR and now processing for British Citizen. In application there is question, when did i first arrive in UK. I wonder shall put 2005 date or 2012?

The guide to Form AN1 say the following:
"Enter the day you first arrived with a view to staying in the UK on a long-term
basis, and the airport or seaport through which you then entered. "

On this basis it's 2012.
