British Citizenship

Post by Taran123 » Wed Jan 08, 2020 8:14 am

Hllo!!...Can anyone answer my query regarding a rule that says that if a person has served british indian army before 1947 then one of his immediate family member is entitled to the citizenship of UK. Is this rule still applicable?..and what is the procedure and terms n conditions if it is?...

Where is this rule documented? What is the background of the "person" you refer to? Are you referring to "Crown Service"?

I came to know abt it from my friend settled in UK who got to know abt it from someone working in the embassy over there. And the person i referred to earlier in my post is an indian born before partition in 1947..he was in british indian army..he even fought for the england army in the world war 2 against german forces nd got captured by them in war nd later on was released by german govt after 5 years.
