Will UKBA confirm my days absence if requested

Post by roaminrobbie » Sun Jan 19, 2020 3:38 pm

Hi
I am trying to begin my UK citizenship application and I have no real list of when i came in and out of the country. I was told i can apply to the UKBA under the offcial information act to get this list. Is this correct? Has anyone else has success with this? How do I go about it?

Thanks, Kiwi

You could start here regarding Subject Access Request (SAR): https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... mmigration
I doubt that UKVI (UKBA successor) have complete data available on your movements in/out - feedback on here is quite sketchy (anyone?).
The requirement to list your absences isn't an exact science, many people don't have complete records, so the general advice is to estimate dates and durations to the best of your knowledge, excluding travel day in/out of the UK.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.
