Applied for citizenship... appt questions

Post by confusedinpakistan » Thu Sep 24, 2020 12:36 am

I have applied for citizenship today and got an appointment through the online booking system for the 10th of October.

I had a few questions.

I am a surrender singh applicant with settled status.

I have a UK degree and took the life in the UK test.

I am planning on taking the following:
  • Passport
    Brp
Proof of life in the UK test
    Reference letters signed by referres
Do I take the original or a copy of my wife’s British passport?
How do I prove 5 years stay? I have payslips but should I print out 5 years bank statements?

Anything else I am missing?

You upload scans of all your documents - for the biometrics appointment you take your passport as proof of identity unless the appointment email requires anything else, I believe. Proof of Residency: best to use your P60s, one for each year, payslips not necessary and bank statements are not accepted. Upload a copy of your wife's passport (bio page).
