Citizenship application and 4 months over stay

Hello guys if anyone knows about it than will be greatful
I am asking on my friends behalf
This is her immigration history
She came to uk on student visa July 2010 and visa valid until April 2012 she overstayed her visa 4 months in August 2012 got married with eu citizen and got 5 years visa in March 2013 in September 2017 got divorced and applied for retain rights visa and in January 2018 got retain rights visa than applied for indefinate leave eu settlement visa in August 2019 and granted eu settlement in September 2019 now it's been 12 months she got indefinate leave so can she apply for citizenship or home office will consider that 4 months over stay from April 2012 to August 2012

Ideally she should wait August 2022 to apply.

There have been cases where people were approved with an overstay and given a questionnaire to explain their situation. But often it just ends up with a refusal based on "good character" requirement.

This is my opinion. I may be wrong.

You have to have an unbroken chain of 10 years legal stay if you overstay.
So, her visa chain started in March 2013.
She will be eligible to apply for citizenship in March 2023.
