Travel after naturalization application

Hi,
I have a query about the online Naturalisation process:

1. If I submit my online application now, and have to travel urgently out of the country before I can get the biometric appointment at UKVCAS, is that allowed?
I assume that there are 45 days to book appointment from the online submission of the application?
Moreover, can we submit the documents straightaway online with the application? Or do we have to wait for any email from UKVI? Similarly, can UKVCAS appointment be made straightaway after online submission of form or do we need to wait for any email or invitation? I assume that IDV app will not be applicable anymore.

2. The days of absence in the last year (with limit of 90 days) is applied from the date we submit the online application? So any travel after the online application will not affect the 90 day count?

Many thanks for your reply.

So is the IDV app is no longer being used by UKVI and therefore there is no need to wait to see if my previous biometrics can be re-used before booking an appointment?

If I submit my application online over the weekend then do I get access to UKVCAS document upload portal straightaway or would it be after UKVI receipt confirmation email which may be the following week.

Finally, are the documents uploaded on the UKVCAS website submitted to UKVI straightaway (so that they may start processing the application prior to receiving the biometrics) or is the document submission option only available closer to the biometric appointment booking.

straight away. Look at 12AM GMT and you will be able to book an appointment for around 4 weeks later

Self-submission is optional. You may avail it anytime up to 48hrs before appointment. It will appear as soon you will upload your documents, sign out and sign in again
