Certificate of Entitlement to the Right of Abode

Post by pramu.m » Tue Jan 12, 2021 8:05 am

Hi Moderators,

Hope you're all well.

I am Naturalised British Citizen and my wife is on ILR and daughter born in India. I did go through following thread and several other threads and I am clear that I can apply for CoE RoA. However I could not find any information related to Financial requirements that I should provide.

Can you please confirm if I had to meet any financial requirements and fill in the Appendix form 2?

Thanks,
Pramu.

You can apply for a CoE-RoA only if the daughter was born on or after the date of your naturalisation certificate. Is that the case?

If your daughter is eligible for CoE-RoA, she is already a British citizen (For those born after 1983, CoE-RoA is only given to British citizens) and there are no financial requirements. She will need your naturalisation certificate and her birth certificate to apply.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the quick response.
Yes, I had my Naturalisation Certificate 2 years ago and I am British Citizen and my daughter was born 3 months ago.

Thank You.
