Cover letter to allow for excessive days out of the coutnry.

I serve in the British Military and I am very near to completing my application for citizenship however I have spent a great deal of time overseas over the last 6 years on various deployments. There is a site that offers advice for this very scenario (https://nff.org.uk/hm-forces-citizenship/):

"DO have to include a unit letter to confirm date of enlistment and that time spent overseas was due to military Service".

I am having trouble with this unfortunately. I put in a formal request to meet with my OC to request a letter to that effect but I was redirected to the welfare staff to acquire a template but they are all working from home and I have now raised this issue twice, if I do so again I'm afraid I start to annoy people.

I need a template letter that lists date of enlistment and also to allow for days spent out of the country due to crown service. Does anyone here have something to that effect? I could do it myself but I'm really not sure what to write and what the people processing applications expect.
