Subit documents after upload or not.

Hi, can someone please clarify.

Been invited to use the IDV App for Naturalisation, had already uploaded all the documents to the UKCAS site online. These show up in the IDV App.
Do I need to submit the documents before I use the IDV App to confirm identity or will it all be done together after taking photo and pressing submit at the end? Is just uploading documents okay?

Seems strange that you can submit documents before you even attend an appointment for those that cannot use the IDV App.

Upload your photo & travel document first through the IDV app before clicking submit on the app.
