5 years in the UK before Citizenship application

Hello,

I have had my ILR for one year now. Prior to that I was on a Global Talent visa for 1 year and Tier-2 for two years and before that, I was a student on a Tier-4 permit. My immigration history:

2015-2019: Tier-4
2019-2021: Tier-2
2021-2022: Global Talent
2022-present: ILR

My question is about the 5 year in the UK requirement. Five years ago, I was in the UK but on a Tier-4 visa as I got my ILR after only three years. There is no specific information in the guidance as to what the immigration status had to be in the 5 years (other than not being exempt from immigration control). Do my years in the UK as a student count towards my 5 years?

5 years of legal stay irrespective of what visa, of course in the end ILR is required.
