Question on "Date this parent / legal guardian became settled in the United Kingdom"

Hello Forum,

It's a bit urgent so would appreciate if someone here could help please.

My friend has recently been granted ILR together with their partner on the same day, and they are now submitting an MN1 form to register their UK-born child as UK citizen. For the following question in the MN1 form:

"Date this parent / legal guardian became settled in the United Kingdom"

Could they put the date of the ILR approval email from UKVI as the answer? Or should they put their BRP card issue date as the answer? They assume these two dates should be the same, but they haven't recevied their BRPs for some time and can no longer wait.
