Mistake in Naturalisation Application

Post by BerryBlue91 » Fri Aug 02, 2024 12:05 pm

Hi there! Yesterday I attended my biometrics appointment and formally submitted my naturalisation application as a British Citizen. After reviewing the submission document today, I noticed that there is a mistake in my “return date” of my recent trip.

Return Date is currently showing 20 July 2027 whereas it should be 20 July 2024. I called the home office and they said nothing can be done on their end so they suggested emailing furthernationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk
Which I’ve already done.

I’m freaking out as I’m worried this will delay/affect my application. Did anyone experience a similar issue? Thanks a lot :)

You have already advised UKVI, so should be no issue.
Clearly it’s a date in the future. Note applicants are not refused purely on a simple mistake.
