UKVCAS to TLS Switch and Biometrics Deadline Query

Post by Socklessria » Tue Nov 05, 2024 12:18 pm

Hello,
My application deadline to enrol biometrics is next week. I was only able to book a biometrics appointment for the day after the deadline!! It was the only appointment available and I grabbed it as soon as the new TLS booking system went live.

The UKVI correspondence states to email or call them to explain if you cannot attend a biometrics appointment by the deadline. I emailed NationalityBiometrics@homeoffice.gov.uk weeks ago with no luck and phoned today, but the agent had no clue. I was just advised to wait and see what happens. I'm concerned system automation will reject my application.

Does anyone know if this would be the case or if there's a grace period in light of the biometrics provider switch?

Also, I uploaded my supporting evidence on the UKVCAS website. When I log into my TLS account, there's an option to do the same. My understanding is any evidence uploaded to the UKVCAS site before the changeover was transmitted to UKVI.

Would you recommend re-uploading the evidence to the TLS site?

Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I would advise emailing your MP to make them aware of your situation. Also email these addresses:

NationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk
citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gov.uk
NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gov.uk
furthernationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk
complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk.
public.enquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk

Email immediately so you have more hope they see your email asap. Could also be worth it to look further away if any other centres offer appointments.
