Wrong English language certificate

Post by Significantwo » Mon Mar 10, 2025 10:31 pm

I have a big problem.

When I submitted my application at the end of Feb I stated I had a degree in English.
Then, reading it through, I realised mine is a Postgraduate certificate and not a degree -therefore not suitable-.

I have now booked my English speaking test before the biometric appointment where I will ask them to upload the new correct language certificate.

My question is: will my English test being completed after submitting the online application but -uploaded correctly during biometric appointment -pose a risk of my application being refused?

Just explain in a cover letter that you realised your mistake and have corrected it. UKVI does ask for English tests if they think the requirement isn't met, and clearly people send this after their application has been submitted. UKVI wouldn't ask for this if it wasn't an option to get approved. Submit the test before biometrics and report back on your outcome when the time comes.
