British Nationals (Overseas), who hold no other citizenship, may be in for some good news.
The Borders, Citizenship and Immigration Act 2009 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2009 wrote:4. The following provisions of the 2009 Act shall come into force on 13th January 2010—

(c) section 44 (British Nationals (Overseas) without other citizenship);
Borders, Citizenship and Immigration Act 2009, Part 2 (44) wrote:British Nationals (Overseas) without other citizenship
(1) Section 4B of the British Nationality Act 1981 (acquisition by registration:
certain persons without other citizenship) is amended as follows.
(2) In subsection (1)—
(a) omit “orâ€
