Excessive absences due to study

Post by janmiksen11 » Mon Jul 12, 2010 12:53 pm

hello to everyone

i am an EU national and i have been in the UK since july 2002 and thus i have been here for 8 years and now considering applying for naturalisation.

i started an undergraduate course in scotland in 2005 and as a requirement to complete the course i had to be in a spanish-speaking country for an academic year because i was doing a degree in languages. i was away from june 2007 to april 2008, and as a result of this i have gone over the 900 day threshold for those who have stayed in the UK for 8 years.

i have read through the guide where they detailed when they would make considerations, and it doesn't mention anything about study, only those regarding work.

will my application be considered, or successful even?

thanks.

i'd contact the home office about this.
