Naturalisation for wife (ILR)

Post by m_man1 » Sun Jan 09, 2011 5:19 pm

hi all,

Its good to be back again and thanks everyone who helped out in giving the right information a year on from now

Me and my wife got ILR last year March 2010 ,initially she had come to uk on work permit dependant but when i applied for my ilr she was my dependant and got the ILR with me at the same time,

My question here is how long does she has to wait for naturalisation?

If its a long wait (i guess its 3 years on ILR,to meet the residential requirements)is there any way quicker where in she can apply for naturalisation as a wife of BC after i get my BC?

Kindly pool in your thoughts guys and as always its much appreciated

thanks a lot again for the community in this forum

If applying together, then both have to satisfy the standard requirements.
If you become British first, then she has to satisfy the requirements for spouses and civil partners.
