Unemployment

Post by Mike100 » Sat Jan 29, 2011 10:41 pm

Hello guys,

First, thanks to all of you who take the time to assist.

Today, my status in the UK is ILR, and it has a lot to do with the answers I received here.

In 4 months from today, I will be entitled to apply for a British citizenship, and have a few questions regarding that.

1. Currently, I am unemployed, and to be honest, I was also unemployed when applying for my ILR visa.
Do you think my employment status would affect my application. Looking at the application, I noticed there is no "unemployed" option given.

2. I am entitled to apply because my wife is English. At the moment, she is also unemployed, but we both never applied for benefits and have enough money to support ourselves.
In case she would apply for job seeker's allowance, would that affect my application?

Kind regards,

Mike
